Hemorrhoids are the inflamed or swollen blood vessels throughout the anal area. It can be internal or those that develops within the anal canal or external that can be found outside the rectum. 4 Types of Hemorrhoids Hemorrhoids come in different types and each is characterized by varying levels of discomfort and pain. This happens when the internal veins are pressed with heavy pressure. The major sign is blood in the stool or tissue paper. It is also painful and can be a huge problem when it prolapsed. These are the issues that prolapsed past the anal cavity.

These are typically painful and prone to bleeding. These can also produce burning which can be very discomforting. External type can be thrombosed or prolapsed. These are external hemorrhoids characterized by blood clots. The clots form when veins become inflamed and the blood supply is cut off. When this occurs, the hemorrhoids split and causes clot formation under the skin. This type can be extremely painful and requires surgery as treatment. This is a type of internal hemorrhoids that slips below the anal cavity. This happens as the hemorrhoidal tissues become weak.

4 Grades Of Internal Hemorrhoids Internal hemorrhoids originate above the dentate line. They are covered by columnar epithelium, which lacks pain receptors. It is characterized by an internal hemorrhoids that is still above the anal cavity or pectinate line. At this stage, pain is not yet evident since no signs are still present at this stage. But in some cases, mild discomfort and itching can be observed. This stage marks the starting point of prolapsed. At this stage, the hemorrhoidal tissues begin to weaken and collapse making the condition slip out the anal canal, but reversible.

Piles in second grade as typically annoying and painful. These are also characterized by prolapsed, but they are not reversible. This means that the prolapsed hemorrhoid cannot be pushed back inside unlike in Grade 2. These cases are totally discomforting and painful and may bleed. These cases overhang from the opening of the rectum and remain hanging outside. These are tremendously painful, prone to bleeding and infection.

When Should You Seek Medical Attention For Hemorrhoids? I have only gotten to stage 1 and that’s as far as I want to go with hemorrhoids. What causes them to get worse? Is it progression of the condition or could that happen at any time on it’s own? It started ten years ago for me and I thought nothing of it other than straining to go because I would occassionaly see blood.

This only happened sometimes but as tine went by it got worse to stage 2. I’m at stage three now and sometimes I feel like citing them off with a knife. I have taught myself to go once every 2-3days because it stops my life. One time I got home and went to the loo. It wouldn’t stop bleeding for hours. At least three hours of heavy bleeding. Through my clothes and on the floor like a puddle. I spent a long tme in the shower before it stopped.

I was so scared that I went to the hospital and they said they couldn’t find anything but a little swelling. Dotors and hospitals say that they cant find anything. Maybe I should just walk in with blood dripping and soiled clothes. Maybe then they will believe me. I know how this pain can be crippling as it has destroyed much of my life. Eating, sleeping, walking, and sex are no longer pleasurable or functionable. MRI and colonoscopy showed mo abnormalities, leaving me feeling like I am fighting ghosts. The doctors don’t understand this type of pain and the can’t because they have never experienced the severity of this type of pain.
